Robin Carpenter

Managing Partner

One of the original founders of Evantage Consulting, Ms. Carpenter has a mix of progressive strategic marketing and IT experience. She also framed the initial Evantage service offerings and recruiting strategy that emphasized a cross-functional, data-driven approach to working with clients. A Founding Board Member of the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association (MIMA), she also served as its Education Committee Co-Chair. She serves on the board of the Minnesota Women’s Health Leadership Trust and chairs its membership committee. She is a Member of the National Women Business Leaders in Healthcare Foundation. In 2009, Ms. Carpenter received the Woman Business Owner of the Year Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners-Minnesota.

Kate McRoberts

Partner

Kate provides strategic leadership to Evantage and our client engagements. She brings a genuine love of learning about people and things, a collaborative low-ego style, and a belief in setting the bar high – then kicking it higher.  With her M.A. in Organization Development, Change Leadership and Conflict Management, Kate never shies away from tough conversations. One of her favorite phrases: “feedback is a gift!” Kate serves on the executive committee of the Minnesota Children’s Museum board, overseeing the Early Learning Impact committee. She laughs a lot, sings even more, and is a sucker for a good chocolate chip cookie.

Bret Busse

Vice President of Consulting Services

Bret excels in bringing tangible leadership to projects–like clearly defining a project vision and direction, and making actionable recommendations. Clients consistently call Bret organized and insightful, and say he paints an excellent picture of how all of the results fit together. He holds an MBA with a marketing emphasis from the University of Saint Thomas and has been working with marketing and technology leaders from start-up to large-scale for more than 20 years. Bret also holds the Evantage record for most miles run in a day, most races completed, and highest number of calories consumed.

Dana Dimit

Program Manager

Dana manages some of Evantage’s largest and most complex project initiatives. She’s successfully tackled vendor evaluations, complex custom development, enterprise security solutions and web-enabled applications. Clients constantly rely on Dana’s veteran experience to decide which methodologies and approaches are best. And her clients appreciate her ability to deliver their largest and most complex projects on time and on budget. She holds several Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.

Mary Donnelly

Sr. Usability Consultant, Director of Research

Mary directs Evantage’s research capability, diving deep in the design and delivery of quantitative and qualitative research. She’s also a veteran user experience practitioner who has focused much of her career on eliciting user needs via research and improving digital experiences via usability evaluations, prototype creation and heuristic reviews. For Evantage and our clients, Mary provides thought leadership in the area of accessibility by keeping abreast of new developments, presenting at conferences, and by continually providing clients with data and guidelines on why and how to make their websites and applications accessible. Mary is also a HFI Certified Usability Analyst, a member of the Usability Professionals’ Association, and a member of the Society of Technical Communication.

Shana knows how to get things done and keep things moving. With her 20-plus-year history in management she has experience in the worlds of retail, health care, veterinary services, home health and consulting. As you may have guessed, she loves to learn. Perhaps most important, Shana is a team player who loves delivering high quality work to those around her.  When she is not at the office, you can find her running her own small business on eBay, playing with her pups, and putting together animal rescue events and fundraisers for local pet rescue organizations.

Bill Stelle

Director of Business Development

Bill leads business development for Evantage. He has a natural curiosity and an innate ability to quickly understand a problem or an opportunity and, just as quickly, assess the strategic implications of that information. (This also makes him a pretty good poker player.) What makes him a perfect fit for Evantage, though, is his quest to always ask why. He doesn’t just want to know what our clients want to do; he knows that we are really useful only if we understand why they are doing it. A suburban Chicago native, Bill has a marketing degree from Indiana University, an MBA from Rollins College, and over 20 years of experience helping organizations in Minnesota and across the country grow and be better through thoughtful and strategic leadership.

Laurie Le Moine

Laurie excels at improving health care management. She’s optimized health care delivery, product implementation, payer negotiations, and financial analysis. She’s skilled in a variety of process improvement techniques, including Lean and Six Sigma. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master of Arts in Education from Portland State University. Laurie is a regular participant in Evantage’s run club and can otherwise be found at the lake with her family.

Eddie illustrates complex ideas and business requirements as designs with the detail needed to get your organization all speaking the same language: “Customer.” He has worked the spectrum of UI/back-end development, but now focuses on usability testing, research, and his favorite: UI design and prototyping. He’s been all over banking, technology, government/military, and healthcare industries creating and designing web, mobile, and device experiences. When he’s not working, he enjoys traveling and spending as much time as humanly possible with his family.

In addition to his consulting work he trains teams of designers around the country on the use of Axure, a popular UI prototyping tool. Most of his spare time is spent ensuring that his two children turn out unusual.
